In 1983, Dr. Bolster completed his residency in Family Practice at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ. He first became board certified by the American Board of Family Practice in 1983. He recertified in 1994 and will again recertify in 2001. As a Robert Wood Johnson Fellow, he earned a Masters degree in academic family medicine at Case-Western Reserve University Medical School concentrating his research on the effects of alcoholism on the family.
After developing a flourishing practice in the Cleveland Area, for family and health reasons Dr. Bolster and his family relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas. In Ohio, he served on his hospital's Medical Education Committee, The Family Practice Quality Assurance Committee and The Medical Practice Committee. He also served on QA and executive committees for Lake County Primary Care Physicians and the Lake Hospitals PHO. In his spare time Dr. Bolster serves as scout master and Sunday school teacher. As a family, the Bolsters enjoy camping, fishing, theater, church activities and some family business ventures. The whole Bolster family really is glad to be here in South Texas!
